Best Golf Courses in St George Utah
The Ledges Golf Club offers a world class 18-hole championship course surrounded by the majestic red and white sandstone cliffs of Snow Canyon State Park. Located only five miles North of St. George, The Ledges Golf Course offers a memorable experience at an average of 5-10 degrees cooler than other courses in Southern Utah.
The course has a length of 7,200 yards and consists of 18 golf courses designed by Matt Dye. The driving range is off of grass all year round and in case you need to practice or want to play a short game they have 2 practice greens and another for chipping and bunker practice.
If you want to compete, they have Men’s and Women’s Golf Leagues. For men the league competes every Tuesday at 8:00am and for women it’s every Monday at 10:30am. The Sunbrook Golf Course is one of the most famous public courses in St George. This course has 27 championship holes and has a whopping 6818 yards. It was designed by Ted Robinson and John Harbottle. Apart from the incredible design and modern facilities, this course stands out from the other public courses because of its incredible scenery and red mountain views.
After hitting your first shot from a tee located amidst a crowd of molten onlookers, your second shot must carry more volcanic remains plus avoid a small lake strategically placed just to the right of the green. Dixie Red Hills
The Dixie Red Hills Golf Course is a very special place for all golfers in Utah because it was the first course developed by St George city in the 60s! This 9-hole par 34-layout course is surrounded by some beautiful sandstone cliffs that make the experience more fun.
Each hole in the Dixie Red Hills is going to be a great challenge for any golfer but we have some favorite holes that we know you’ll love. Make sure to pay attention on #1, #3 & #6. Many of our guests have pointed out these holes as the best ones of any golf course they have ever been to.
While playing, take some time to admire some of the numerous Cottonwoods, Mesquite, and other unique trees that are in the area. In summer time you can take some time off in the shade to cool off and enjoy the fresh breeze.

From the moment this municipal course was built in 1989, it became one of the best golf courses in the city because of its course quality, amazing design, and views. But all the great comments and reviews weren’t a surprise because it was designed by the award-winning golf designer Gene Bates. The Green Spring course is open all week.
At this 18 holes course, the fun never ends. If you want to become a little competitive you should challenge yourself on holes #5 & #6, these two shots are over a deep canyon and have one of the best views of the Red Cliff State Park Recreation Area. For many years, hole 6 was on the Hardest Hole in Utah list, and for many people it is one of the toughest courses in the city.
